Jeep Safari North (Cotillo)

Jeep Safari North (Cotillo)

Description

The best way to discover the north of Fuerteventura is on wheels… but not just any wheels. On this 4x4 tour through Corralejo, you will alternate between roads and dirt tracks to reach places where the asphalt ends: dunes that look like a real desert, silent volcanoes, fishing villages where time seems to stand still, and peaceful beaches with crystal-clear waters. The excursion begins at one of the island’s most iconic locations: the Natural Park of the Corralejo Dunes. This sea of golden sand, shaped by the wind, stretches alongside the Atlantic Ocean creating a hypnotic landscape. Exploring it in a 4x4 is an experience in itself. If you have ever wondered what to see in Corralejo beyond its streets, this is the perfect starting point. A tour through the dunes of Fuerteventura should be on every must-see list. After crossing the desert, it is time to visit a volcano in Fuerteventura: Bayuyo. This volcanic formation is one of the highest points in the north of the island, and from its slopes you can enjoy spectacular panoramic views of the entire area. The scenery, the colours of the earth, and the silence make this part of the route truly special. A volcano excursion in Fuerteventura is certainly not something you do every day. The tour continues to Majanicho, a small fishing village where whitewashed houses overlook the sea with charming simplicity. It is a place full of soul, perfect for slowing down and understanding the relaxed rhythm of this part of the island. A little further on, you will reach the Tostón Lighthouse, a historic lighthouse surrounded by black lava, salt flats, and the vastness of the ocean. The route then continues to the Natural Lagoons of El Cotillo, where you will enjoy a long stop to swim, relax, or snorkel at one of the most peaceful beaches in Europe. La Concha Beach is famous for its crystal-clear waters, pale sand, and family-friendly atmosphere. Afterwards, refreshed and relaxed, you will have time to wander through El Cotillo, a charming coastal village where you can enjoy a drink by the sea or simply stroll around. Before ending this adventure, you will make one final stop at an aloe vera plantation, where you will learn all about this medicinal plant, known as “the queen of the desert”. Its properties, uses, and fascinating facts provide a peaceful ending to a day in which you will have discovered the very best of the north of the island.
