Description

After breakfast, we will head to Tirana, the vibrant capital of Albania. This cosmopolitan city will amaze you from the very first moment with its colors, energy, and blend of styles.
We will take a panoramic tour that will lead us to the heart of the city: the impressive Skanderbeg Square, the nerve center where the main landmarks are located, such as the National History Museum, the Opera House, the Clock Tower, the Et’hem Bey Mosque, and the Italian-style government buildings.

The tour continues along the Boulevard of the Martyrs of the Nation, one of Tirana’s main avenues, until we reach the Blloku district, once an exclusive enclave of the communist elite. Here stands the former home of dictator Enver Hoxha, now surrounded by modern cafés, designer shops, and lively urban life.

After the visit, you’ll have free time to stroll, shop, or enjoy the local gastronomy.

In the afternoon, we’ll head north of Tirana to visit Kruja, a medieval town of great historical importance. With a strong Ottoman influence, Kruja is known as the city of Skanderbeg, the national hero who led the resistance against the Ottoman Empire in the 15th century.
We will stroll through its citadel, where the Castle of Kruja rises as a symbol of Albanian freedom. We’ll also visit the Tekke, a small Bektashi Islamic shrine, and the Ottoman Bazaar, restored in 2015 — a perfect place to buy traditional products and unique souvenirs.
