Full-day safari in the Serengeti

Description

The day begins early with pickup from the hotel for your transfer to Zanzibar Airport to catch the flight to Seronera airstrip, in the heart of the Serengeti. The flight takes approximately 3 hours. Upon landing, you will be met by a local guide who will take you on an exciting safari in a 4x4 vehicle.

The Serengeti is impressive for its vast size, biodiversity, and iconic landscapes. Its endless plains are home to one of the largest concentrations of wildlife in the world, including the “Big Five” (lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhinoceros). It is famous for the Great Migration, when millions of wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles move in search of fresh pasture, crossing predator-filled rivers. In addition, its diverse ecosystems—including savannas, rivers, and hills—create a majestic environment that combines natural beauty with abundant wildlife in its purest form.

In the morning, you will cross the vast Serengeti plains, spotting large herds of zebras, wildebeest, and antelopes. If you’re lucky, you might see lions hunting, cheetahs resting on rocks, or even a leopard hidden in a tree. After a few hours of exploration, you will enjoy a picnic lunch in nature with spectacular views.

In the afternoon, the safari continues toward areas with a high chance of seeing elephants, giraffes, and, with luck, a rhinoceros. Your guide will take you to the best-known viewing spots, including hippo and crocodile pools.

After a full day of wildlife sightings, you will return to Seronera airstrip to catch the flight back to Zanzibar. Transfer to your reserved hotel.
