Cocora Valley and Salento from the Cafetera Zone
Description
Private transportation to the Cocora Valley while enjoying the beautiful landscape. We first visit the town of Salento. Upon arrival at the Valley, we will have a welcome cocktail (canelazo) and meet a specialized Cocora eco-guide who will introduce us to the Cocora Natural Reserve. We will walk to the palm forest to appreciate the area's biodiversity of flora and fauna, following the ecological trail of the world's tallest wax palm, Colombia's national tree. We will take part in the Wax Palm Ritual of Quindío, learning about the history of how Indigenous people revered this palm, and planting young palm trees. Then, transfer to the picturesque town of Salento for a walking tour through its colonial streets, artisan workshops, and Cocora viewpoint. At the agreed time, assistance and return to the point of origin.
